Job Description Mobile Mechanical & Electrical EngineerLocation: Mobile role IP7Salary: Up to 45,000 + Company Car / Allowance Contract: Permanent, Full TimeHays is working with a leading defence-sector FM provider to recruit a skilled and motivated Mobile M&E Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that delivers essential maintenance and technical services across key military sites - playing a crucial role in ensuring safety, compliance, and high-quality service delivery.The RoleAs a Mobile M&E Engineer, you'll provide technical expertise across multiple sites, ensuring all work is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with JSP375 and Safe Systems of Work. Your responsibilities will include:Delivering planned and reactive M&E services across three military locationsProducing high-quality Risk Assessments and Method StatementsAssessing the competence of Skilled Persons and providing coaching and supervisionSupporting project work and advising on estate safety, compliance and technical issuesLiaising with stakeholders to ensure seamless service deliveryIdentifying opportunities to reduce corrective actions and support carbon-reduction goalsParticipating in an out-of-hours on-call rotaEnsuring maintenance and operational standards meet regulatory and contractual requirementsWhat You'll BringWe're looking for a highly capable engineer with:Full Mechanical or Electrical qualificationAP tickets (Electrical or Mechanical) - desirable, but training provided for the right candidate.Strong knowledge of Safe Systems of Work and JSP375Experience working independently across multiple sitesConfidence in problem-solving and decision-makingExperience supervising staff or contractorsFull UK driving licenceWhat's on OfferUp to 45,000 salaryCompany car or car allowance25 days annual leave6% matched pensionSingle private medical coverCareer development and recognised qualificationsThis is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive engineer who thrives in a mobile, autonomous role and wants to contribute directly to a mission-critical environment.Hays EA is a trading division of Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited and acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
