SummaryThe Production Planner role will be integrated into the Operations department with the purpose of coordinating and optimising production schedules to ensure efficient and timely production. This includes the allocation of employees, materials, and production capacity to fulfil customer orders effectively.Job LocationPrimarily based within the Company’s main office in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire.Responsibilities and DutiesDuties include but may not be restricted to:· Developing and implementing production plans to meet customer demand while optimising resource utilisation · Collaborating with project teams, workshop, and supply chain to plan production requirements· Creating and maintaining production schedules, considering lead times, production capacities, and resource constraints· Working closely with workshop teams to understand capacity and resource availability· Monitoring production progress and adjusting schedules as needed· Communicating production schedules and changes to relevant teams and stakeholders· Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance production efficiencyOrganisational LocationIntegrated within the Operations team and follows the existing procedures and processes of the Operations department.Line ManagerGeneral Manager Proposed Interactions· Reporting directly to Line Manager.· Interact directly with other departments in the Whittaker offices and workshopQualificationsEssential· 3+ years of demonstrable experience in production planning and scheduling· Solid understanding of production processes· Proficiency in using production planning software and ERP systemsDesirable· Knowledge of production forecasting, capacity planning, and production cost control· Experience in engineering or manufacturing environmentsSkills· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities· Skilled in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Personal Attributes· Strong oral and written communication skills· A meticulous approach to planning and attention to detail· Developed numeracy and computer literacy skills· Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environmentExcellent working conditions, remuneration package and benefits are available.
