Lead Site Manager Electrical EngineeringCheck out the role overview below If you are confident you have got the right skills and experience, apply today.Location: Stone Head Office & UK Client Sites Sector: Energy / Protection, Control & AutomationAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Lead Site Manager with a strong Electrical Engineering background to provide leadership across UK site operations. This role is predominantly UK-based, split between a central head office in Staffordshire and client sites nationwide.You will be responsible for the safe, high-quality and compliant delivery of Protection, Control, Automation and Electrical installations across a range of energy sector projects, including transmission substations, large generators and industrial clients.This position suits a senior site professional who can combine hands-on site leadership with the ability to set standards, mentor site teams and drive best practice, particularly in Health & Safety and installation quality.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the installation, commissioning and customer acceptance of Protection, Control, Automation and Electrical systems, ensuring delivery to safety, quality, programme and specificationEnsure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015, industry standards and client requirementsProvide leadership to multi-disciplinary site teams and subcontractors during installation and commissioning phasesChair pre-start, progress and coordination meetings with clients and internal teamsAct as a subject matter expert for Health & Safety and site installation methodologiesDevelop, review and support site documentation including Construction Phase Plans, SHE plans, RAMS, inductions and waste management plansUndertake site surveys to support tendering and project deliveryWork closely with Project Management, Engineering and QESH teams to ensure effective resource planning and deliveryControl site drawings, Installation & Test Plans (ITPs), tools, equipment and welfare arrangementsMonitor site activities, assess competency of personnel and subcontractors, and carry out site auditsMentor and coach Site Managers, supporting their professional developmentDrive continuous improvement, developing site standards, processes and best practiceCandidate ProfileProven experience in a Senior or Lead Site Manager role within xjdpvnf electrical installation environmentsStrong electrical engineering background with understanding of minor mechanical worksExcellent knowledge of UK construction regulations, including CDM 2015Demonstrated leadership, communication and stakeholder management skillsStructured, analytical approach with the ability to work under pressureFull UK driving licence and willingness to travelBS 7671 18th EditionSMSTS (or equivalent)Recognised Health & Safety training (e.g. IOSH, CITB, RoSPA)Temporary Works Coordination / SupervisionFirst Aid at WorkAsbestos AwarenessImpressed Voltages TrainingNational Grid Competent PersonAuthorised SR163 (formerly TP137) Site ManagerStrong knowledge of National Grid procedures and standards
