Job Description OFSTED Registered Manager - Children's Residential Home Location :Stone, Staffordshire Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Permanent Salary :51,500 - 53,000 per annum + 7,500 Welcome BonusAn exciting opportunity has arisen to lead a new 4-bed OFSTED-registered children's home in Leicester. We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager with strong values to oversee the service from its opening. The home will support children and young people aged 8-17 with learning disabilities and emotional/behavioural needs, providing a warm, therapeutic, and empowering environment where young people can build confidence, develop life skills, and achieve positive, personalised outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious leader who wants to shape a new service from the ground up and be instrumental in embedding high standards of care, safeguarding, and operational excellence.The Role As the OFSTED Registered Manager, you will have full responsibility for the leadership, compliance, and performance of the home. You will:Lead and manage a therapeutic, child-centred residential serviceEnsure full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality StandardsEmbed a strong safeguarding culture and manage risk effectivelyRecruit, lead, motivate, and develop a skilled and committed staff teamOversee day-to-day operations including budgets, rotas, and resourcesBuild positive relationships with local authorities, families, and external professionalsDrive continuous improvement and uphold the home's Statement of PurposeCreate a stable, nurturing environment where young people can thriveAbout You You will be an experienced leader within children's residential care who brings strong values, resilience, and a genuine passion for improving young people's lives.Essential requirements:Significant experience managing children's residential homesStrong understanding of legislation, safeguarding, and regulatory frameworksExperience supporting young people aged 8-17 with learning disabilities and/or EBDExcellent leadership, communication, and organisational skillsNVQ/QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People's WorkforceQCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Children's Services (or willingness to work towards)Full UK driving licenceWhy Join This Service?
