The OpportunityWere expanding our Energy team and looking for enthusiastic, experienced EC&I Engineers to take on a handson, varied role covering all aspects of electrical, control and instrumentation design and implementation.Youll work on PLCbased control systems, cabling, MCCs, drives, switchgear and wider EC&I equipment primarily within the thermal and hydro power generation sector, with opportunities to support other industries too.This role includes site surveys, developing engineering solutions, producing designs, reviewing calculations, and collaborating directly with customers. What Youll Be DoingLeading and driving project teamsReviewing and approving designsEnsuring compliance with procedures, standards and methodsInterpreting customer data, drawings and specificationsProducing system designs and modifying design packsCreating GAs, schematics, wiring diagrams and cable drawingsProducing client documentation, test documentation and manualsLeading site surveys and supporting H&S documentationSupporting SAT/commissioning activitiesAssisting with tender documents and cost estimates Essential SkillsStrong experience in control systems within the energy or utility sectorCompetence in field cabling systems (routes, sizing, earthing, protection)Experience in control panel design (PLC, I/O, comms, UPS etc.)Degree or HND in a relevant discipline with 56+ years experienceProficient with Word, Excel and AutoCADMethodical approach to requirements and documentationUnderstanding of the full project lifecycleFull UK driving licenceWillingness to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check Desirable SkillsExperience with any of the following is a bonus:Rockwell ControlLogixSiemens PCS7 / TIA PortalSchneider M580 / M340MCC specification and installationBS7671 (18th Edition)DSEAR / hazardous area applicationsFunctional Safety (IEC 61508/61511)Database familiaritySite installation and commissioning What Youll Get28 days holiday + bank holidaysFlexible workingPensionLife assurancePrivate healthcareSalary sacrifice schemesMental health assistance programmeCycle to work schemeGreen car schemeSupport toward IEng/CEng and professional membershipsIf this sounds like your next step, wed love to hear from you.
