ROLE- Machinist Learn more about the general tasks related to this opportunity below, as well as required skills.LOCATION- Stoke TERM- Permanent SALARY- 35,000- 50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)My client works within the engineering manufacturing sector, and they are looking to take on a CNC Machinist, on a permanent basis, in the Stoke area.The CNC / Machinist will ideally have the following attributes:Time served Engineer (NVQ/ Apprenticeship/ City & Guilds qualification ideally)Ideally 2 years experience or more in a similar engineering manufacturing / machine shop environmentExperience of working with CNC, milling, turning or manual grindingExperience of working with Fusion360 programming or 5 axis machining would be desirableBe able to work with MS OfficeGood communication skillsHave the ability to read/ interpret engineering drawingsThe ability to work well alone as well as part of a teamThe CNC / Machinist role will involve:Being responsible for the machining of one off engineering componentsWorking to the right standards and specificationsInterpreting engineering drawingsWriting CNC machining programs (turning/ milling/ grinding)Helping to train apprentices or less experience team membersAssisting with other general xjdpvnf manufacturing activitiesHelping to drive the companies Continuous Improvement programMaintaining high standardsIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.Must have a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship Level 3 to C7G or NVQ Level 3CNC or manual grinding experience (must be universal or similar if manual) or CNC milling/turning with some grinding experience
