Youll play a central role in raising standards, driving innovation, and supporting staff and pupils to reach their full potential.About the roleAs the Primary Lead Teacher, you will work alongside the Assistant Headteacher to:Lead and manage the KS2 curriculum, ensuring high-quality teaching and the effective use of resourcesDeliver outstanding classroom teaching and support pupils learning across the primary phaseContribute to whole-school self-evaluation and improvement planningMentor and develop staff within the key stage, providing guidance, support, and inspirationYou will have the opportunity to set high expectations for pupils and staff, model excellent teaching practices, and foster a culture of curiosity, achievement, and wellbeing.Key ResponsibilitiesIn collaboration with the Assistant Headteacher:Inspire and motivate staff and pupils to maintain high standards across KS2Lead by example in the classroom, demonstrating innovative strategies to improve pupil performanceSupport staff development and induction, ensuring continuity and quality across the key stageCollaborate with parents, carers, and the wider community to enhance pupil learningOversee schemes of work, track progress, and measure the impact of teaching and learningContribute to reviewing and refining the curriculum to ensure progression and engagementWho Were Looking ForQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalentProven experience teaching within the primary phase, with a strong record of outstanding teaching in KS2Evidence of ongoing professional development relevant to leadership and KS2 deliveryA collaborative, positive, and innovative approach to teaching and learningPassion for supporting pupils with additional needs to achieve their bestAbout usGlebedale School is a special needs school which provides provision forages7 years and upwards. We provide a nurturing and welcoming environment to SEMH pupils, and our curriculum has a keen focus on therapy, education and personal development. Our school aims to help pupils grow academically, socially and emotionally to enable them to become capable future citizens.We provide education to 30 pupils from the Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire and Cheshire areas.
