Job Description We are working with a manufacturer based in Stoke On Trent seeking a proactive and driven Purchasing Specialist to join their team. Key ResponsibilitiesManage the procurement of raw materials, components, and services to support production and operational needs.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to forecast purchasing requirements.Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to achieve best-value outcomes.Analyse market trends, supplier performance, and cost data to support decision-making.Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant industry standards.Resolve supply issues promptly to minimise disruption to operations.Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination ideally within manufacturing or a similar sector. Strong negotiation and communication skills.Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.A proactive approach to problem-solving and supplier management.
