Field Electrician

Birchwell Associates is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a forward-looking renewable energy company, seeking a qualified and motivated Electrician for a field-based position covering Preston and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrician who wants to expand their skill set in the fast-evolving renewables sector. Youll play a hands-on role in a mix of general electrical tasks and ventilation system installations, with structured development into solar PV and air source heat pump (ASHP) work. This role suits someone with solid electrical experience looking to move into green technologies without needing prior specialisation. Key Responsibilities: Carry out electrical installation and maintenance across domestic and small commercial sites Install ventilation systems as part of broader building solutions Progress into solar PV and ASHP installation with full training provided Work solo on projects as well as collaboratively within a skilled and supportive field team What Were Looking For: Fully qualified electrician (certified to NICEIC-recognised standards or equivalent) Confident with general electrical work, especially in domestic settings Any experience with solar PV or ASHP is an advantage but not required Motivated to grow within the renewable energy industry Full UK driving licence required Based within a 45-minute drive of Preston Whats on Offer: Competitive salary: 38,000 to 42,000 depending on experience Company van, uniform, and tools included Ongoing training and skills development in renewable energy technologies A clear progression route within a company committed to sustainability Friendly and ambitious team environment with long-term growth opportunities This role is ideal for an electrician ready to take the next step into the renewable energy space.
