Accounts Assistant Teesside 28,000 per annum Monday-Friday Overview and Opportunity We are supporting a Property Developer based in Teesside with the appointment of Accounts Assistant. Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join a Property Developer based in Teesside. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and supporting the overall finance function within a fast-paced property development environment. Role Responsibilities Process invoices, credit notes and staff expenses accurately and promptly Prepare and issue sales invoices to clients and other stakeholders Monitor and chase outstanding payments to ensure timely collections Perform daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all entries are accurate Support month-end and year-end closing processes Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions Assist with VAT returns, journal postings and accrual/prepayment schedules Provide financial data and reports to support management decision-making Assist the Financial Controller with ad-hoc tasks, analysis and internal audits Help improve accounting systems and processes for greater efficiency Candidate Requirements Previous experience in an accounts or finance assistant role Previous experience within property, construction or real estate Strong understanding of invoicing, reconciliations and bookkeeping Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills55b20050-bc17-4e5d-bfce-3c406318dffc
