Job Description Location: Stevenage Salary: 35,000 40,000 DOE Hours: 41.5 hours per week Monday Thursday: 8:00am 5:00pm Friday: 8:00am 4:00pm Holidays: 23 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidaysM4 Recruitment are working with a well-established manufacturing business in Stevenage who are looking to recruit an experienced Toolmaker to join their modern, well-equipped toolroom.This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-precision manufacturing environment, producing and maintaining injection mould tools using industry-leading machinery and in-house design systems.The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture, modification, maintenance and repair of injection mould tools, working to tight tolerances while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.The toolroom is equipped with Hurco machining centres, Sodick wire eroders, Sodick CNC spark eroders, Jones & Shipman surface grinders, in-house design using Pro Engineer and CAM programming using Powermill.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesUse of manual milling machinesUse of lathesUse of surface and cylindrical grindersUse of manual and CNC spark erodersUse of CNC wire eroderModification and repair of injection mould toolsManufacture and fitting of new injection mould toolsUse of hand tools such as files, hacksaws and grindersWiring of hot runner systems and fault findingGeneral toolmaking including milling, grinding and fittingAbout You To be considered for this role, you must have:Experience in injection mould toolmaking and high-precision machining, milling, grinding and fittingExperience in fitting and assembly of complex mould tools, including repairAbility to work to tight timescales without compromising quality or safetyExperience in maintenance, repair and modification of injection mould toolsExperience preparing new mould tools for productionStrong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a small teamIf you want this shortened for job boards, rewritten to sound more candidate-led, or branded further for M4 Recruitment, just let me know.JBRP1_UKTJ
