SMT Operator Stevenage Commutable from Dunstable, Hemel Hempstead, St Albans, Harlow, Bishops Stortford, Royston, Biggleswade 30,000 - 33,000 Monday - Friday (Early finish on Friday) Benefits:- 23 days holiday + bank holidays Additional holiday over Christmas Medical insurance Bonus pay scheme Our client is a leading electronics manufacturer, that values hard work, teamwork and developing people. They are looking for an SMT Operator who wants to join a rapidly growing business, with plenty of progression opportunities . The ideal candidate would have experience of the whole production process, and be able to show a good eye for quality. Role & Responsibilities: Oversee the whole production process including Soldering - Applying solder paste to PCB pads via stencil Pick and place - Automatic placing of surface-mount components onto the solder Reflow oven - Heating the board to melt and solidify the solder securing the components Automated optical inspection (AOI) - Visually inspecting for solder defects X-Ray inspection - Looking for internal solder defects Pick and pack - Boards are sorted and passed to the next stage Recording production data and coordinating with the production team to meet deadlines and outputs Collaborating with engineers to resolve technical issues and improve output Reporting into the Production Supervisor Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Must have experience across the whole production process Experience using AOI machinery An understanding of IPC-A-610 and/or IPC-A-620 Must be a team player with good communication skills 'To apply please email your CV / resume to [ ]'. - - Jack Jenkins - 01908 010 438 If you are interested in this position please click 'apply'.
