You will help qualify components for some of the most sophisticated systems in the world, collaborating with dedicated multidisciplinary teams in a hands on environment.This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys problem solving, testing complex technology and ensuring the highest levels of software quality.Key ResponsibilitiesTranslate software and system requirements into well structured test cases and proceduresPrepare, execute and document tests for real time embedded software componentsCapture data, analyse results and provide clear, actionable feedback to project teamsWork in a lab environment on electro mechanical systems running embedded softwareSupport the full software engineering lifecycle from requirements through to qualificationApply strong practical engineering skills to diagnose issues and validate system behaviourSkills and ExperienceEssential:Strong experience in Verification and Validation activities for embedded softwareAbility to derive robust test cases from technical requirementsHands on experience testing embedded systems in a lab environmentGood understanding of the full software engineering lifecycleScripting skills for automation or data handlingDesirable:Experience working on safety critical systemsKnowledge of standards such as DefStan 0055, DO178C or DO330Embedded software development experience in Ada or C or C++Knowledge of real time operating systemsModel driven design experienceFamiliarity with test automation tools and methodsExperience using DOORS, EWM, Rapita Suite, Rhapsody or LDRABreakpoint analysis or focused code review experienceWhats on OfferBonus schemePension contributions up to 14 percent totalPaid overtime opportunitiesUp to 15 days flexi leaveHybrid working, typically 4 days on siteEnhanced parental leaveExcellent onsite facilities including subsidised meals and free parkingHealthcare cash plan
