Injection Mould Tool Design Engineer

Due to continued growth, a successful Toolmaking and moulding business is seeking an experienced plastic injection Mould Tool Design Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will take ownership of designing high-quality injection mould tools, from single-impression to complex multi-cavity hot runner systems, supporting a diverse range of industries including medical, automotive, switchgear, and packaging. Up to 40,000, 23+8 days holiday, 08.00 - 17.00 Monday to Thursday, 08.00 - 16.00 Fridays As an Injection Mould Tool Designer your duties will include: Injection mould tool and component design using 2D and 3D CAD software Conducting design reviews and ensure designs meet DFM (Design for Manufacture) principles Manage projects from concept through to completion Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure technical excellence and satisfaction For the Injection Mould Tool Design role, we're looking for: Proven experience in injection mould tool design (toolmaking experience an advantage) Strong proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD Knowledge of side cores, up and aways, steel types and selection, polymers, hydraulics, and hot runner systems The ability to work to tight time scales without compromising quality and safety Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach Join a forward-thinking company that values innovation, precision, and craftsmanship - and play a key role in delivering world-class tooling solutions.
