Translational Lead

Job Description Insight Global are seeking a highly experienced Translational Lead with deep expertise in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases to support an earlystage human observational study for a leading global pharmaceutical organisation.This position requires 2 days onsite per week (or 8 days per month) in Stevenage, UK for a 12month contract and is Inside IR35.The Translational Lead will shape and drive the translational science and biomarker strategy for an exploratory Phase 0 observational study aimed at understanding underlying immunedriven disease mechanisms. This role sits at the intersection of research, clinical development, and emerging R&D technologies, offering the opportunity to influence scientific strategy across multiple markets and functions.You will lead the definition of biomarker plansincluding target engagement, mechanistic biomarkers, and exploratory signalsand map the governance pathways required to deploy these into earlystage clinical studies. A key part of this role involves interpreting clinical biomarker data, forming strategic recommendations, and ensuring crossfunctional alignment with clinical, imaging, safety technologies, and R&D Tech teams.MustHave Requirements Include:PhD in an inflammatory or autoimmunefocused discipline, with strong grounding in translational science.Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and deploy biomarker strategies into clinical studies.Strong scientific reputation supported by peerreviewed publications in the inflammation field.Proven ability to operate within a highly complex, crossfunctional matrix environment.Comfortable working in a fastpaced, dynamic setting with shifting priorities.Deep diseasearea expertise in inflammation, such as:LupusSystemic autoimmune diseasesPsoriasisInflammatory bowel diseaseExperience must include time within clinical or pharmaceutical industry settings.Plusses Include:Prior involvement in Phase 0 or early human observational studies.Familiarity with emerging biomarker platforms or governance pathways for biomarker deployment.Exposure to AIdriven literature or datamining tools.Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead crossfunctional scientific discussions.
