Compliance Coordinator

Job Description A well-established fresh produce business based at Tilbury Docks is looking to appoint an experienced Compliance Coordinator to join its site-based compliance function.This is a compliance-led role and will suit someone with previous experience in a fresh produce compliance positionThe RoleReporting into the Compliance function, you will be responsible for coordinating supplier and site compliance activity, ensuring standards are met and maintained throughout the supply chain.Key responsibilities will include:Liaising with suppliers to collate, review and maintain due diligence documentation, filing records on internal and customer platformsCompleting supplier approval processes on customer due diligence systemsConducting and maintaining supplier risk assessmentsMonitoring, reviewing and reporting on due diligence compliance throughout the supply periodManaging the daily chemical surveillance testing schedule for incoming suppliersConducting supplier recall and traceability exercisesMaintaining and updating approved supplier lists (internal and customer-specific)Supporting BRCGS compliance, audit preparation and corrective action close-outCollating, reviewing and trending supplier compliance data, including food safety and regulatory metricsAbout YouEssential: Previous experience in a fresh produce compliance roleEssential: Hands-on experience working to BRCGS standardsEducated to degree level, ideally in Food Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related scientific disciplineStrong working knowledge of supplier due diligence and risk assessmentHighly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (Power BI advantageous)Confident managing online compliance platforms and large datasetsHighly organised with strong attention to detail and a deadline-focused approachAble to work both autonomously and collaboratively with stakeholders at all levelsWhy Apply?Compliance-focused role with clear ownership and accountabilityExposure to a high-volume, regulated fresh produce operationOpportunity to develop long-term within compliance and technical functionsIf you are a Compliance Coordinator with fresh produce experience and enjoy supplier compliance, due diligence and audit readiness, this is an excellent opportunity.JBRP1_UKTJ
