This role involves working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure high standards of care, compliance with legislation, and positive outcomes for children and young people.About the RoleThe Deputy Manager will assist in managing the home in line with Childrens Homes Regulations and Quality Standards, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment where young people can reach their full potential. You will provide leadership to staff, support care planning, and help maintain strong relationships with external agencies and stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Registered Manager with the leadership and management of the homeDeputise in the absence of the Registered ManagerEnsure the home operates in line with relevant legislation, Ofsted standards, and safeguarding proceduresAssist with staff recruitment, supervision, rotas, and trainingPromote high standards of residential care and a positive home environmentSupport care planning, assessments, and placement processesMaintain effective relationships with families, professionals, and partner agenciesEnsure health and safety standards are metContribute to inspections, audits, and quality improvement plansWork flexibly, including weekends and public holidays where requiredRequirementsLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards within 12 months)Minimum 2 years experience xjdpvnf in residential childcare within the last 5 yearsAt least 1 years experience supervising or managing staffStrong knowledge of Childrens Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguardingExcellent communication, organisational, and leadership skillsAbility to support staff development and maintain professional standardsIf you are an experienced senior or deputy looking to progress within childrens residential care and support the delivery of high-quality services, apply now and a member of the team will be in touch.
