Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Shift Maintenance Technician to support a highly automated customer site for a globally recognised organisation. Youll be responsible for maintaining, repairing and supporting automated material handling equipment, ensuring system availability, performance against KPIs, and exceptional service delivery in line with Customer Services standards.Key Responsibilities:Maintain, repair and support equipment within the agreed on-site contractual scopeEnsure system performance consistently meets agreed service levels and customer KPI targetsCarry out AMHE servicing in line with equipment manuals, quality standards and schedulesUndertake scheduled repairs in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practiceDiagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, electronic, PLC and PC-related faultsPrioritise system faults to maintain product flow at all timesAccurately record all work undertaken and maintain maintenance documentationEnsure on-site spare parts are maintained at optimum levelsActively contribute to continuous improvement and system enhancement initiativesEnsure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, quality processes and company proceduresWhat Were Looking For:NVQ Level 3 / ONC in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline (or equivalent) recognised Engineering ApprenticeshipStrong understanding of mechanical, electrical and electronic technical manuals and drawingsBasic understanding of control systems, PLC equipment and fault-finding techniquesExperience working with conveyor systems and automated material handling equipmentGood level of PC literacy and maintenance record keepingUnderstanding of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedulesWorking knowledge of FEM and BS standards within the automated warehouse industryExperience working proactively with Health & Safety, including risk assessments and method statementsIOSH Working Safely qualification (desirable)Experience working at height and willingness to do soAbility to manage on-site contractors when requiredWhats On Offer:Competitive pay and benefitsOngoing training and career development opportunitiesOpportunity to work on advanced, mission-critical automation systemsA professional, inclusive and safety-focused working environment
