Our General Manager will provide operational leadership and ensure the smooth running of The Bay Hotel during a transitional period. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards across all departments, driving guest satisfaction, supporting team performance, and safeguarding the commercial success of the hotel. The GM will act as the key on-site leader, reporting to the Group Operations Director.What youll be doingOperational Leadership -Oversee daily hotel operations including front of house, housekeeping, F&B, and maintenance.Team Management & Development -Lead, motivate, and support the hotel team to achieve optimal performance.Guest Experience - Maintain exceptional guest service standards.Compliance & Standards - Ensure health & safety, fire safety, and food hygiene standards are upheld.Financial Management -Oversee budgets, forecasts, payroll, and cost control.Communication & Reporting - Provide regular operational updates to the Group Operations Director.What we are looking forProven experience as a General Manager or senior hotel operator.Strong leadership and communication skills.Excellent understanding of hotel operations across all departments.Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and KPIs.Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.Flexible and hands-on approach.Strong guest service focus.Working Pattern34 days per week onsite at The Bay Hotel, St Ives.Flexibility required around peak periods, key trading days, and operational demands.Remote support on non-site days where needed.Start ASAP, initial 8 months contract
