CNC Machinist

We are looking for a CNC Machinist/Toolmaker to work on a permanent basis in St Helens.The role will be working days, 40 hours per week, across 5 days.Salary is c36-42,000 per annum plus holidays, pension, overtime etc.Key Responsibilities for the CNC Machinist / Tool Maker role:Design and develop tools and moulds from product specifications and engineering drawings.Operate and maintain CNC machines, lathes, milling machines and other toolmaking equipment.Carry out regular maintenance and repairs on existing tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity.Work closely with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues.Conduct quality inspections of tools and moulds to ensure they meet design specifications and tolerances.Keep accurate records of tool designs, modifications and maintenance activities.Toolmaker requirementsTechnical qualification or apprenticeship in toolmaking, machining or a related field (preferred).Ideally 5+ years experience in toolmakingProficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360) for designing tools and moulds.Strong knowledge of CNC machining, milling and lathe operations.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.How to apply:Please call Rebecca at Simply Recruitment Group or press APPLY NOW!JBRP1_UKTJ
