Their work spans residential, rural, and energy sectors—providing strategic and development management services to a loyal portfolio of private and public sector clients.The OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Town Planner to take on a key role focusing on planning applications and appeals. Working on high-impact projects in one of the UK’s most picturesque and desirable locations, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping sustainable, high-quality developments across Cornwall and the surrounding areas.You will lead and support a variety of projects, providing expert planning advice, coordinating application submissions, preparing statements for appeal, and engaging with key stakeholders including local planning authorities, landowners, and developers.Candidate ProfileWe are looking for a motivated and capable planner who meets the following criteria:Chartered Member of the RTPI (MRTPI)Significant experience in planning, gained either in a planning consultancy or within a local authority development management teamStrong understanding of planning law, policy, and application/appeal processesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectivelyA collaborative approach and the confidence to represent clients at meetings and appealsWhat’s On OfferSalary: £40,000 – £60,000 depending on experienceBonus Scheme: Performance-based bonus opportunitiesHoliday: Generous holiday allowanceLocation: Cornwall – with flexible/hybrid working optionsWork-life balance in one of the UK’s most sought-after regions, offering natural beauty, coastal living, and a vibrant local communityWhy Cornwall?Cornwall offers an unbeatable lifestyle, combining beautiful beaches, countryside, and a rich cultural heritage.
