Locum Planning Lawyer – South West – Local Authority – Predominantly Remote Working – 3 Months + - £60ph via umbrellaVenn Group’s specialist Legal team is recruiting for a Locum Planning Lawyer to join a reputable Local Authority in the South West. This is a locum role for an initial term of 3 months and is subject to extension thereafter. Our client is ideally recruiting on a full-time basis. For this position you will need to be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive.Duties and responsibilities for this post may include:Holding own caseload of planning mattersDrafting and negotiating Section 106 agreementsAttending monthly planning committeesSupporting with regeneration from both a planning and governance perspectiveProviding professional legal advice on planning lawAdvising on both investigations on and enforcement against breaches of planning regulationsAdvising planning and enforcement officers at all levels of seniority on a wide range of development management and planning-related mattersThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in Planning law gained within a Local Authority and will be confident to jump straight in and assist the team in what has proven to be a busy period.
