Quality Engineer

Role- Senior Quality Engineer Salary- £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Type- Permanent Location- Reading My client is a specialist manufacturer within Aerospace & Defence. They are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join their team in Reading on a permanent basis. The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:Proven experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environmentRelevant qualifications in Engineering or Quality Management (BEng, HND, CQI, etc.)Experience in Defence / Space / Aerospace or similar industries would also be beneficialIn-depth knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis)Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and continuous improvement methodologiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAttention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing quality issues The Quality Engineer role will involve:Conducting quality audits and ensuring compliance with industry standardsInvestigating and resolving quality issues and non-conformancesCollaborating with production teams to improve quality processes and reduce defectsPerforming root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actionsManaging the quality management system (QMS) and maintaining accurate documentationProviding training and guidance to staff on quality standards and proceduresLiaising with customers and suppliers to address quality-related concernsContributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible.
