Inventory Controller

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to join our supply chain team within the medical device sector. This role is vital in maintaining accurate stock control, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the efficient flow of components and finished goods in a highly regulated environment.Key Responsibilities:Review and improve procurement procedures to enhance traceability and reduce untracked or ad hoc purchasesDefine and manage minimum and maximum stock levels to maintain appropriate inventory holdingsAnalyse stock trends and support demand forecasting and inventory planningEnhance the Kanban process to improve visibility, accuracy, and replenishment speedMonitor inventory turnover, aged stock, and slow-moving items; recommend actions to reduce waste and optimise working capitalWork closely with the Procurement team to raise and expedite purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materialsMaintain accurate part numbers and Bills of Materials (BOMs) within SAPSkills and Experience:Previous experience in inventory control within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare manufacturing industriesStrong working knowledge of SAP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelFamiliarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standardsExperience managing stock parameters such as reorder points, safety stock, and lead times in a regulated environmentUnderstanding of BOM structures, part number creation, and master data accuracy in ERP systemsExperience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environmentDesirable Qualifications:Certification in inventory control or formal training in stock management
