As a result of this growth, the Head of Merchandising is looking to recruit this brand-new role to join his busy team of 5.As Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a compelling product strategy that maximises sales, margin, and customer satisfaction. You will play a pivotal role in selecting the right product mix, forecasting demand, and working closely with suppliers and store teams to ensure a consistent and inspiring retail experience.Role and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a merchandising strategy across all categories including gardening, outdoor living, DIY, dcor, and seasonal rangesAnalyse sales data and market trends to forecast demand and optimise product assortmentBuild strong supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedulesOversee stock levels and inventory turnover to maintain optimal availabilityCollaborate with marketing and visual merchandising teams to create cohesive, engaging displaysMonitor performance KPIs and drive continuous improvement in product performance and customer experienceExperience & Requirements Proven experience in a merchandising or category management role, ideally within gardening, home improvement, or retailStrong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and negotiation skillsCreative mindset with a good eye for trends and product presentationExceptional organisational and communication skillsProficiency in merchandising systems and Excel
