Sound Technician - Cruise The Sound Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all sound elements in the main theater and alternative entertainment venues on the ship. Duties include sound mixing, executing cues, and ensuring sound quality during performances, rehearsals, and sound checks. The role requires collaboration with entertainers and production teams, as well as supporting the Entertainment Staff with sound tasks in other venues. Key Responsibilities: Maintain sound quality and equipment in the main theater and entertainment venues. Execute sound cues and manage system settings during events, rehearsals, and shows. Liaise with the Stage & Production Manager or Technical Director to enhance production value. Report defective equipment and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Assist with stage resets and keep the theater set-up clean and organized. Open theater doors 30 minutes before showtime. Work to uphold the artistic integrity of shows and events. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in sound design/technology or equivalent experience. 4 years in entertainment or theatrical sound operation. Knowledge of sound equipment, troubleshooting, and basic lighting. Experience with live music venues and sound checks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing environments. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights up to 50 feet.
