Job Title: Consultant Medical Oncologist – Urology and Germ cellStart Date: June 2026Contract Type: PermanentThis appointment is for a Consultant Medical Oncologist with an interest in Urological cancers and Germ Cell tumours based at University Hospital Southampton.Key responsibilitiesProvide specialist Medical Oncology input with expertise in Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy for Urological and Germ Cell tumour patients.Treat patients with Urological and Germ Cell tumours at UHS.Provide oncology input to the UHS Urology MDT and Germ Cell MDT.Be a member of the Urological and Germ Cell MDT meetings.Participate in the management of Urological and GCT patients.Attend the Uro and GCT MDT meetings.Share the patient referrals.Support the Patient Triggered Follow Up (PTFU) pathways.Provide medical oncology expertise to the Uro/GCT services.Plan and supervise chemo/immunotherapy.Conduct on‑treatment review clinics.Supervise care of inpatients and provide cross‑cover for annual leave for other Uro/GCT Consultants at UHS.Provide Consultant input to Acute Oncology service at UHS.Engage in peer review meetings.Participate in the recruitment and running of clinical trials.Additional information The successful candidate will be employed under the terms and conditions of service for Consultants (England) 2003.Proposed interview date: 20th May 2026.Vacancy closes on or before 12th May 2026.#J-18808-Ljbffr
