(Traffic Operator) - Position Overview Our client are a market leading provider of integrated road and rail freight logistics delivering a range of services spanning container transport and storage, domestic distribution, warehousing, freight management, and truck sales. You now have an incredible opportunity to join as a Traffic Operator at their Southampton depot working Monday to Friday with one in every four Saturdays worked. (Traffic Operator) -Duties & Responsibilities Dealing with multiple drivers Communicating with ports Booking delivery slots for entry in ports Using a Transport system called TOPS for putting down drivers start times and finish times Chasing drivers for etas and making sure they are on time Rerouting jobs as and when is needed Checking all PODS are matched up with all the correct jobs on the system Speaking to customers on possible delays advising et (Traffic Operator) - Position Requirements Previous experience as a Traffic Operator - Essential Confident and clear communicator - written and verbal Excellent UK geographical knowledge Can work on own initiative Quick and efficient problem solving skills Organised at all times Flexibility to meet the demands of the business (Traffic Operator) - Position Remuneration Monday - Friday (6am - 4pm/ 9am - 7pm) Working 1 in every 4 Saturdays Starting Salary 34,000 - 40,000 - (Candidate Must have experience using TOPS to get to the top of the salary band) Annual salary review (discretionary). Annual bonus (discretionary). 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays on top from day 1.
