Job Description Asbestos Surveyor Engineering & SurveyingLocation: SouthamptonPay Rate: 200 per day PAYE or 256.51 per day UmbrellaHours: 37 hours per weekContract: TemporarySeven Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join a professional engineering and surveying team in Southampton. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional with experience in asbestos surveying, inspection, and compliance within property and construction environments.The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring properties meet asbestos management regulations and health and safety standards, supporting safe building management across a portfolio of sites.The RoleAs an Asbestos Surveyor, you will be responsible for carrying out detailed asbestos inspections and surveys across residential and commercial properties. You will identify asbestos-containing materials, assess risk levels, and produce accurate reports to support safe property management and regulatory compliance.This position is ideal for professionals with experience in asbestos management, building surveying, property compliance, or environmental health.Key ResponsibilitiesAsbestos Surveys & InspectionsConduct asbestos management and refurbishment surveys across a range of properties.Identify and record asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in accordance with current regulations.Assess the condition and risk associated with asbestos materials.Reporting & DocumentationProduce accurate survey reports, risk assessments, and asbestos registers.Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and organisational standards.Maintain detailed records of inspections and findings.Compliance & SafetyEnsure all work complies with Control of Asbestos Regulations and health and safety legislation.Provide advice and guidance on asbestos management and remedial actions.Support the development and maintenance of asbestos management plans.CollaborationWork closely with property teams, contractors, and maintenance teams to ensure safe working practices.Communicate findings clearly to relevant stakeholders.RequirementsEssentialExperience working as an Asbestos Surveyor or within asbestos management.Relevant asbestos surveying qualification (such as BOHS P402 or equivalent).Strong knowledge of asbestos regulations and compliance standards.Ability to produce clear technical reports and maintain accurate records.Good communication and organisational skills.DesirableExperience working within housing, construction, or property maintenance environments.Knowledge of building surveying or property compliance frameworks.Why Work with Seven Resourcing?Seven Resourcing is a specialist recruitment agency supporting professionals across engineering, surveying, construction, and public sector services.
