The company are also a leading operator for the UK Heavy Haul rail freight market. Our client has operations across the UK & Europe offering both Intermodal/container transport as well as Heavy Haul freight services. As a Specialist Haulage Transport Planner, you will hold responsibility for planning the loading and unloading of cargo / freight shipments whilst maintaining customer relationships, ensuring requirements and service levels are met from enquiries through to job completion. There will be opportunities get involved in a variety of projects, while ensuring the companies health and safety / customer satisfaction ethos in maintained. Transport Planner Specialist Haulage | Responsibilities Raise accurate quotes for the loading and unloading of cargo and road transport Ensure that all containers and cargo movements are arranged correctly and booked into and out of the companys internal and external systems. Arrange customers pick-ups and collection of equipment / cargo. Be a point of contact for any specialist haulage enquiries. Price negotiation for any purchases or required services. Ensure customer service levels with all customers are achieved to the minimum agreed targets. Finalise and complete jobs on the companys internal systems with revenue and costs outlined to allow them to be processed for invoicing. Transport Planner Specialist Haulage | Requirements Previous experience working for a shipping line, port operator, haulage and /or container handling operations. Knowledge of Road Haulage.
