IT Commercial Contracts Manager

IT Commercial Contracts Manager (24-Month Fixed-Term Contract), 40-45k + excellent benefits (44 days total holiday & 20% pension scheme) Do you have a public sector or university background, with an understanding of contract management and IT or software life cycle? Do you have a keen eye for detail and good with stakeholders? This role is for a proactive IT Commercial Contracts Manager supporting high-impact IT projects through commercial oversight and operational excellence. You'll manage IT service contracts, provide commercial guidance, ensure legal and policy compliance, and oversee supplier relationships to drive value and continuous improvement. Collaborating closely with internal teams, Procurement, and Legal, you'll shape SLAs, KPIs, and futureproof contracts. The role requires experience managing software and systems contracts, strong communication, independent workload management, adaptability, and a strategic mindset. Proven commercial operations experience within a technology environment, including contract review and supplier performance management, is essential. You will play a key part in supporting the delivery of several high-impact strategic projects, with a focus on commercial oversight and operational excellence. You will be the main point of contact for technology purchasing and contract needs across the organisation. This is hybrid working with either one of two days per week on site in Southampton, and the rest home working. There is an extensive enhanced benefits packaging including (44 days total leave) 30 days annual leave + 6 closure days + bank holidays and a pension of 14.5% from the employer when you put 6.1% in.
