Job DescriptionFollowing the award of an exciting large life science project, we are seeking an Associate/Senior Associate QS to join our team. The project encompasses the development of a state-of-the-art, 300,000 sq ft R&D facility, comprising cutting-edge laboratories, educational spaces, and meeting areas.Core responsibilities include:Leading the Change Control Process - Taking ownership of the process by validating proposed changes, coordinating with relevant package Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors within agreed contractual timeframes, obtaining client approval, and issuing formal instructions.Contract Administration - Overseeing the administration of a heavily amended JCT contract, ensuring all parties are fully aware of and compliant with their roles, responsibilities, and obligations.Chairing Commercial Meetings - Leading regular meetings with the contractors commercial team to discuss progress, commercial matters, and contractual compliance.Managing Contractual Communications - Acting as the central point for coordinating clear and timely communication between all key stakeholders, including the contractor, client, architect, engineers, and consultants.Monitoring Progress and Performance - Tracking project milestones and contractor performance, identifying potential risks or delays, and ensuring adherence to the programme and contract deliverables.Supporting Dispute Resolution - Assisting in the resolution of contractual claims and disputes, working collaboratively with stakeholders to reach timely and effective outcomes.Maintaining Comprehensive Records - Keeping accurate, up-to-date documentation of all contract-related activities, including formal correspondence, meeting minutes, site inspections, variations, and payment records.Why us?We believe in rewarding dedication and hard work.
