This position offers the chance to play a key role in securing technically robust and commercially competitive projects across the UK. It would suit an engineer with ground engineering experience who is keen to broaden their involvement in both design development and cost planning within a growing and supportive environment.The role will involve:Developing preliminary engineering solutions to support tender submissionsAnalysing enquiry documentation and identifying technical and commercial risksPreparing detailed cost plans, including measurements and build-upsEngaging with internal design teams, temporary works specialists and operational colleagues to ensure practical and buildable proposalsObtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor pricingDrafting technical responses and methodology statements for tender returnsRepresenting the business at site inspections, pre-tender meetings and client interviewsSupporting final negotiations and ensuring a smooth transition from award to project deliveryWhats essential:A background in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related fieldExperience within groundworks, piling, retaining structures or wider ground engineering environmentsSound understanding of geotechnical principles and common ground improvement techniquesStrong commercial awareness with knowledge of key construction cost driversIf you are looking to join a forward-thinking company where you can develop both your technical and commercial skillset, apply now or contact the Professional Services Team at Eaton Syalon for a confidential conversation.
