Senior Charities Lawyer / Senior Associate (Charities Law)Location: South West, EnglandAbout the RoleWe are seeking a seasoned and motivated Charities Law specialist to join a well-established legal practice. This is a senior role with the expectation that, within three years, you will assume leadership of the firm’s charities law practice.You will advise charity trustees, senior staff, and fee-earners across a broad spectrum of charity law matters, including (but not limited to):Constitutional, governance, and regulatory issuesCompliance and statutory inquiriesRestructuring, mergers, and asset transfersCharity Commission engagement (varying funds, recoupment orders)Grant agreements, commercial participator arrangements, and related contractsDispute resolution involving charitiesWhile your focus will be on charities, you will also support and collaborate with colleagues handling property, commercial, private client, employment, and legacy matters in relation to charitable clients.Who We’re Looking ForWe’d like to hear from you if you:Are a qualified solicitor or legal professional with demonstrable experience in charity lawHave a track record in advising on governance, compliance, restructuring, and disputes in the charity sectorAre confident liaising with regulatory bodies and navigating complex statutory frameworksPossess strong commercial awareness and the ability to advise on cross-practice legal issuesAre driven to take on increasing responsibility and step into leadership over timeBenefits & Working CultureYou’ll gain access to a competitive benefits package, which includes:Generous holiday allowancePension schemePrivate medical insuranceLife assurancePermanent health coverFlexible benefits (for example, a contribution toward travel costs)You’ll become part of a supportive and collaborative environment, in a firm long respected for excellence in private client and charity law.
