Job Description Projects Team Leader Steam BoilersNeed to be commutable to South ShieldsFull time, PermanentABOUT THE ROLEA well-established industrial equipment business is looking for an experienced Boiler Projects Manager to lead the delivery of rental steam solutions across the UK and Ireland. You will take ownership of projects end-to-end from initial technical assessment and design input through to commissioning, handover, and ongoing customer support. This is a senior technical role with people management responsibility. You will lead a team of field engineers, coordinate with specialist third-party contractors, and act as the primary technical point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTake full ownership of project delivery from survey through to customer handover and aftercareLead and manage a team of steam field engineers day-to-dayPlan and oversee commissioning activities, ensuring safe and compliant handoverCarry out technical site assessments to determine the most appropriate rental solutionProvide technical input during the design and tendering phasesEnsure all equipment meets relevant pressure system regulatory requirementsBuild and maintain strong customer relationships, proactively managing expectationsCoordinate third-party contractors and suppliers throughout project executionOversee spares inventory and management processesWork cross-functionally with internal teams to support wider business objectivesWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORSolid background in project engineering within industrial steam or pressure systems environmentsIn-depth knowledge of steam boilers and associated sub-systems Confident reading and interpreting P&ID drawings and electrical schematicsWorking knowledge of relevant pressure system legislation and statutory complianceMechanical or electrical disciplineFamiliarity with industrial burner systems is an advantageRelevant boiler or gas safety certifications are advantageous
