As part of their ongoing growth, we are looking for an Assembly Manager to join their fast-paced assembly operation to support with increased business demand.Assembly Manager Role OverviewAs the Assembly Manager, you will lead a team within the Assembly department, ensuring production targets are met, workflows run smoothly, and quality standards remain consistently high. This is a hands-on leadership role where your presence, energy, and ability to motivate a long-standing workforce will be essential.You will split your time between the shop floor and office, managing KPIs, supporting process improvements, and driving productivity in a fast-moving environment where kitchens are delivered within 24 hours of order.Key Responsibilities of the Assembly ManagerLead and motivate a team of 510 within the Assembly areaMaintain output, quality, and safety KPIs across rotating shiftsHold individuals accountable while building trust within long-serving teamsSupport continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and 5SAlign with the opposite shift manager to ensure consistent communication and workflowEnsure units are assembled in sequence and ready for delivery within tight timescalesIdentify inefficiencies, revamp SOPs, and implement process improvementsWork closely with planning, production, and senior leadership teamsExperience & Skills RequiredPrevious experience in manufacturing or production leadershipProven ability to manage tough or long-standing teamsConfidence and resilience - able to hold people accountable while remaining fair and approachableStrong organisational and communication skillsExperience working to KPIs and delivering against productivity targetsAny exposure to lean, 5S, or continuous improvement methods is beneficialPersonal AttributesEnergetic and proactive with a strong work ethicAble to command respect without being dictatorialCalm under pressure with a solution-focused mindsetComfortable being highly visible on the shop floorClear, confident communicator across a diverse workforceBenefitsCompetitive salaryEnhanced overtime ratesHealth insurance and cash plan23 days holiday bank holidaysGenerous Pension schemeEV charging, cycle-to-work scheme, PerkboxFully funded management development programmeA supportive induction with an experienced Assembly Shift Manager on siteIf you are an experienced leader with a strong presence on the shop floor and a passion for driving performance, we would love to hear from you for this Assembly Manager position. xjdpvnf INDMANDue to the volume of applications, if you do not hear back within 5 working days, please assume your application has been unsuccessful.To apply, please submit your CV.
