Property Solicitor

We are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Solihull area for a Property Solicitor. This is to work on a wide variety of legal work concentrating mainly on land and property matters;Role ResponsibilitiesTo conduct all aspects of legal work relating to land and property, development and landlord and tenant issues.As and when required to attend Council, Cabinet, Committees or meetings and to handle legal and advisory work connected with this.To advise client departments on land and property and highways matters.Recording time worked to charge out to clients.To maintain a caseload in compliance with requirements.Instructing Counsel to act or appear on behalf of the Council in circumstances where the best interests of the Council so requires.Providing support to the Team Leader Property and Contracts.Education & QualificationsQualified Legal Executive or Solicitor.Current practising certificate.Experience & KnowledgeDetailed knowledge and working experience of commercial property law.Relevant Local Authority experience and knowledge and understanding of current developments affecting local governmentExperience of drafting complex legal documentation.Undertaking legal researchExperience of using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook (or equivalent)An understanding of the requirements of LexcelUse of case management systemsKnowledge of highway and planning mattersJBRP1_UKTJ
