About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead the opening and ongoing management of a brand-new 3-bed childrens residential home in Solihull . This home is being developed by qualified clinicians in partnership with a consultancy team , designed to provide a therapeutic, safe, and nurturing environment for children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) . As the Registered Manager , youll be responsible for overseeing registration, compliance, and the creation of a warm, trauma-informed home where young people can heal, grow, and thrive.Key Responsibilities Lead the setup and Ofsted registration of a new childrens home, including policy development, recruitment, and staff training. Ensure full compliance with Childrens Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards . Manage daily operations, care delivery, and team performance. Recruit, supervise, and motivate a skilled, compassionate staff team. Act as the Registered Manager , ensuring safeguarding, quality assurance, and positive inspection outcomes. Build collaborative relationships with local authorities, education, and health professionals. Create a therapeutic, learning-focused culture that promotes the wellbeing of both children and staff.Requirements ? Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Manager in a childrens residential home (EBD). ? Proven experience setting up and registering new homes with Ofsted . ? Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards completion). ? In-depth understanding of Childrens Homes Regulations , safeguarding , and trauma-informed care . ? Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. ?
