Job Description Job Title:Civil EngineerSalary:50-55 per day (dependent on experience) | Outside IR35Location:Snodland, KentType:Contract | HybridAbout the Role:Our client is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join their Civils team on essential water infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in delivering safe, clean drinking water from project inception through to completion. Working within a supportive team, youll have the opportunity to shape your own technical deliverables and make a tangible impact on communities in the South East.About the Client:Our client is a respected consultancy delivering vital water infrastructure projects across the UK. They provide a collaborative and professional environment where engineers are empowered to lead technical work, develop their skills, and contribute to projects that improve everyday life for local communities.Key Responsibilities:Review and check project scopes to ensure outcomes are achievedProvide technical solutions and support on capital projects, producing design drawings, CDM documents, and job specification packsCheck colleagues work for technical qualityMentor Graduate Civil Engineers and apprentices, supporting their developmentLiaise with internal and external teams to secure project approvalsVisit sites to carry out audits and provide guidance to contractorsWhat Our Client is Looking For:HNC, HND, or degree in Civil Engineering or a related disciplineExperience in a Civil Engineer role with ability to manage your own deliverablesStrong understanding of industry standards and specificationsKnowledge and practical application of CDM 2015Experience in design, construction, or maintenance of infrastructure and non-infrastructure assetsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyExcellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levelsRight to work in the UK without restrictionsWhat Our Client Offers:Competitive day rate (50-55/day)Hybrid working arrangementExposure to varied and impactful water infrastructure projectsSupportive and collaborative team environmentOpportunity to mentor and develop junior engineersEligibility:Applicants must have the right to work in the UK without restrictions.Opportunity for Growth:This contract role provides the chance to work on a range of technically challenging projects, enhance your engineering expertise, and build relationships across the water sector, with opportunities to extend or progress into future projects.
