Senior Trade Support - Metals

A City based Investment Bank wish to hire within the middle office for Commodity products and to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with the Capital Markets Trading desk.OverviewAccountable for the execution of assigned on-desk trade support activities in a timely, accurate and efficient basis.Book, validate and amend trades, review trade discrepancies and follow up with clients, perform PnL, Risk, trade and position reconciliationsSupport the resolution of discrepancies/exceptions, escalating to management as required.Support the introduction of new products, technology or processes that are in line with Business Partner initiatives participating in the analysis, testing and implementation activitiesIdentify potential risk situations within the scope of FICC Trade Support activities, escalating to management as required.Ensure adherence to directives, internal processes and internal approvals to mitigate risk to the BankUnderstand regulatory and compliance requirements as prescribed for the business unit to ensure adherence as required.Ensure adherence to all aspects of First Principles, Our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Corporate Policy, as well as all applicable legislation, regulatory rules and requirements, and Bank standards, policies and procedures (P&Ps) for such things as potential conflicts of interest, safeguarding of customerIdentify opportunities to improve the operational effectiveness of assigned day-to-day FICC Trade Support activities.Deliver exceptional customer service that builds trust through responsive, accurate, consistent, knowledgeable and available services and support.Experience Required5+ years of business related experience in the financial services industryUniversity Degree/College Diploma in related disciplineStrong knowledge and understanding of a range of Financial Products including: Commodities (Energy and metals, especially metals financing), Fixed Income, and Interest Rate DerivativesKnowledge of Financial Markets and Regulatory oversight bodiesStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to work under tight deadlines independently or in a team-based environment
