Merchandiser

Elite have partnered with an iconic omni-channel fashion brand, who are seeking an experienced Merchandiser to join the team.As a Merchandiser, you will play a key role in maximizing sales, profit, and stock efficiency for the brand. You will partner closely with Buying, Planning, eCommerce, Retail, and Marketing teams to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time. This is a pivotal role that combines data-driven decision-making with a strong understanding of fashion trends and customer behavior.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Merchandiser, you will be supporting the Head of Merchandising to ensure that the merchandising function is effectively controlled within the agreed brand strategy to maximise performance.Using data to optimise the sales and profitability of your product area(s)Supporting planning of budgets by category, option count, and depth of buy based on the overall business and financial KPI’sControls stock levels, intake, production flow, forecasts based on weekly sales and stock intakes (WSSI)Reviews sales forecasts based on performance, and makes informed recommendations for actionAnalyses and monitors best and worst sellers and takes actionMonitors and maintains buying marginSupplies the buying and design team with necessary data to enable informed decisions and planningRunning reports from data systems for Monday Trade & presenting back key findings and actions to the wider teamSupporting with day to day management of the Allocator & MAA roles to ensure their workload is prioritised correctly with the current needs of the businessSkills & Experience5+ years’ experience in a merchandising role, ideally within fashion or lifestyle retail.Strong numerical and analytical skills; confident using Excel, BI tools, and planning systems.Proven ability to trade and react to sales performance in a fast-paced environment.Experience in an omnichannel or multichannel business is strongly preferred.Commercially aware with a strong understanding of fashion retail trends and consumer behavior.Excellent organizational and communication skills.
