Employment Lawyer – In-House – 6+ PQE – London (Hybrid)We’re working with an elite international law firm seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join its internal legal function as part of the HR and Employee Relations team. This is a permanent in-house role, based in London, advising the business on complex employment matters across the UK and globally.The Role:This is a strategic hire within a newly evolving Centre of Excellence for Employment Law and ER. The role will focus initially on supporting major international restructuring and outsourcing projects, while also providing advice across the full spectrum of employment law issues.You’ll act as a senior internal adviser to HR, legal, and business stakeholders, helping shape global employment frameworks and best practice.Key Responsibilities:Advise on complex employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary issues, performance and investigationsManage litigation and settlement strategy, including external counsel and DSARsReview and update employment contracts, policies, and global template documentsProvide advice on TUPE, restructures and corporate transactionsDeliver employment law updates and internal training to HR and leadershipHelp embed global consistency, risk mitigation, and policy alignment across jurisdictionsAbout You:England & Wales qualified solicitor with 6+ years’ PQE (more experienced applicants welcomed)Strong background in employment law, including experience in-house or advising corporate clients in a regulated environmentInternational employment law experience and understanding of global ER issuesCommercial, pragmatic, and confident advising senior internal stakeholdersExcellent communicator, collaborator, and trusted adviser with strong judgementOrganised and comfortable handling a fast-moving, varied caseloadWhat’s on Offer:A senior in-house legal role with global reach and influenceWork closely with HR leadership and legal risk functions on high-profile initiativesSupportive and inclusive culture that values flexibility and wellbeingCompetitive salary and benefits packageOpportunity to shape the firm’s employment law approach as it transitions to a global modelTake the Next Step:If this opportunity excites you and you’re keen to learn more, we would love to hear from you.
