They are now looking to grow their London studio, and are looking for a strategic and ambitious Associate Director – Architect to help drive business development, lead key bids, and shape the future of our practice.The RoleAs an Associate Director, you will play a central role in both winning and delivering significant projects within our core sectors. You will work closely with our Directors and Senior Management Team to strengthen client relationships, secure new commissions, and lead teams on high-profile projects.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-facing environment, combines commercial insight with design leadership, and is ready to take the next step in their architectural career.Key ResponsibilitiesLead business development initiatives across healthcare, science, higher education, and defence sectorsIdentify and pursue new project opportunities and strategic partnershipsOversee and contribute to high-quality bids and presentationsDevelop and nurture long-term client relationshipsProvide design and technical leadership across multiple project stagesManage and mentor team members, supporting professional growth and developmentRepresent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking functionsCollaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure delivery excellenceAbout YouARB-registered Architect with a minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experienceDemonstrable track record of securing work across at least two of our core sectorsStrong industry network and a deep understanding of public procurement processesProven experience in leading bids and successful project deliveryExcellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to think strategically and contribute to studio growth and directionExperience working on complex, high-value projects is desirableA passion for creating architecture that supports innovation, care, and learningWhat We OfferA leadership role in a respected, design-led practiceOpportunities for progression to Director-levelAnd opportunities for shareholding in the not to distant futureA supportive and collaborative working environmentHybrid working arrangementsCompetitive salary and benefits packageAccess to professional development and industry eventsIf you're ready to make an impact in a leadership role at the heart of a purpose-driven practice, we’d love to hear from you.
