This is a key second-line role supporting the Investments Team — helping them make informed, risk-aware decisions that balance ambition with compliance and long-term sustainability.The Risk Business Partner will act as an independent advisor to the Investments Team, embedding strong risk management practices into day-to-day operations and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring both technical risk expertise and the interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesRisk AdvisoryServe as an independent risk advisor to the Investments Team, providing challenge and insightSupport delivery of the organisation’s risk framework (e.g., asset allocation, modelling)Join regular meetings with portfolio managers and analysts to advise on risk implications of strategyRisk Identification & AssessmentWork closely with investment professionals to identify and assess investment risksEvaluate external factors such as economic or geopolitical developmentsMonitoring & ReportingBuild and maintain tools and dashboards to monitor key risk indicatorsProduce regular risk reports for leadership and investment teamsEnsure compliance with agreed risk limits and business objectivesMitigation & ControlsRecommend mitigation strategies and help implement control measuresAdjust the risk profile as needed to remain within tolerance thresholdsGovernance & ComplianceAct as a liaison between investment and risk functionsSupport audit preparation and regulatory compliance effortsIdeal Candidate ProfileProven experience in a first- or second-line risk role (investment risk experience desirable)Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and challenge constructivelyHighly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work in a matrixed environmentProficient with Microsoft Office and risk systems (GRC tools)A collaborative approach and a passion for making a positive differenceWhat’s on OfferThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation offering genuine flexibility and an exceptional benefits package, including:Up to 14% employer pension contributionReal living wage employerHealthcare, critical illness, and income protection coverGenerous parental and adoption leaveSubsidised on-site restaurant and gymLearning & development support including study sponsorshipSeason ticket loans, Ride-to-Work scheme, and volunteering daysA vibrant social culture with regular employee events
