Vehicle Technician

Our highly successful client is growing, and they now need an experienced HGV/LCV/car Technician to join their dedicated team. Our client offers a great team environment and has a modern workshop. You will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of the company's fleet of HGV'/LCV's and company cars. This role would suit someone who is comfortable working on cars, vans and trucks, but training will be provided if you have some of the experience.Check you match the skill requirements for this role, as well as associated experience, then apply with your CV below.Hours Mon-Fri 7.30-4.30pmMain Duties:Vehicle InspectionsFault finding, repairs 'servicing of commercial vehicles and trailersVehicle servicing to vehicle manufacturing standardsPMI and brake testing for trucksWeigh an loler testing for tall lift vehiclesCompletion of all relevant paperwork ensuring that all work undertaken is compliantUse of diagnostic equipmentFollow all safety protocols and guidelinesSkills required:If you are a HGV Technician you must be a fully skilled with industry recognised qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three) in heavy vehicle service, maintenance and repair2 years' experience as an HGV Mechanic (Post Qualification)HGV (class 2) licence holderHGV / PMI and brake test qualifiedBrake test qualifiedWeight and loler certifiedNVQ in vehicle mechanicsGeneral competence for general servicing and maintenanceHigh level of communicationBasic knowledge of computers and fleet diagnosticsGood organisational skills and ability to be able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlinesMust have the xjdpvnf right to work in the UKBrake experience (training can be given)MOT preparation experienceModern mechanical and electrical diagnostics and fault-findingAccurate and timely defect reportingBenefits:Overtime20 days holiday + bank holidaysPensionPhoneUse of vehicle in some casesGreat team environmentIf you feel that you have the skills and experience required for the HGV Technician role, please apply now or call Sharon Tanner on if you have
