Many of our pupils have experienced disrupted education and benefit from consistent, relational support to help them re-engage with learning, routines and school life.Our approach focuses onbuilding trust, developing confidence and creating the conditions for every child to succeed.About Stable FuturesStable Futures, owned by Amegreen Childrens Services, is a specialistAlternative Provisiondelivering Equine & Animal Assisted and Outdoor Learning programmes for external referrals and pupils at Amegreen Education, that includes Haywards Farm School.Through therapeutic engagement with horses and animals, alongside an exciting alternative curriculum, Stable Futures supports pupils to build confidence, emotional regulation and engagement with learning.The programme includes areas such as:PSHEArt & DesignHorticultureCulinary SkillsCareers and next steps guidancePupils also access adedicated forest provision site, where bushcraft and forest school activities provide rich, hands-on learning experiences.This outdoor, therapeutic approach helps pupils reconnect with education and develop the skills needed to successfully engage with school life.The RoleThis is atruly unique opportunityfor an energetic and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide1:1 support for a named studentat the beginning of their school journey.Initially, the role will be based full-time within theStable Futures provision, where you will support the student to develop thesocial, emotional and behavioural foundations needed to become school ready.Working within a calm and therapeutic environment, you will help the student:feel safe and settledbuild trusting relationshipsimprove attendance and engagementdevelop confidence in transitioning into schoolThis is arelationship-led rolewhere patience, consistency and emotional intelligence are essential.Over time, you will support the student tosuccessfully transition into Haywards Farm School, gradually accessing their school timetable while continuing agreed sessions with Stable Futures.You will work closely with theStable Futures team, Haywards Farm School staff, and therapiststo ensure a consistent, holistic approach that supports the students EHCP outcomes.Every pupils journey is different, and this role plays a vital part in helping a young person take theirfirst successful steps back into education.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide consistent1:1 support for a named student, helping them develop the social and emotional skills needed to become school readySupport the student to engage in sessions delivered throughStable Futures, including farm-based and forest provision activitiesBuild a strong, trusting relationship while maintaining clear structure and boundariesUse a calm, therapeutic approach to support behaviour and emotional regulationShare observations and progress updates with staff and, where appropriate, parentsWork alongside therapists to implement strategies linked to EHCP objectivesSupport the studentsgradual transition into Haywards Farm School, working closely with both the school and Stable Futures teamsYou Will Ideally HaveAt leasttwo years experiencein a similar role (SEN support, behaviour support, alternative provision, or residential childcare)Strong communication skills and emotional resilienceA consistent, professional and calm approach to supporting vulnerable pupilsFlexibility and creativity in adapting support to individual needsA passion foralternative and outdoor learning environments, including farm and forest settingsExperience supporting pupils duringtransitions into educationPhysical capability for the demands of the role, including potential physical intervention in line with behaviour support plansWillingness to complete training insafe physical intervention techniques (essential)Working Pattern and BenefitsMonday to Friday,8:30am 4:30pm, with minimal after-hours commitments10 INSET daysacross the yearTherapeutic reflection andtwice-daily briefingsto support strong practiceOpportunities to collaborate across West Berkshire and partner schoolsAdditional BenefitsLife insurance (death in service) 4x annual salaryHealth cash plan (Health Shield)(after probation)Comprehensive training and development including CPD and therapeutic practiceFree holiday accommodation company holiday home on the south coastBlue Light Card and local partner discountsEmployee Assistance Programme (24/7 confidential support)Enhanced employer pension contributionsCompany sick pay scheme (after 6 months service)Electric car scheme and Cycle to WorkEmployee of the Month and long service awardsDiscounted driving lessons with local instructorReferral bonus schemeEquality and DiversityAmegreen is committed to creating a workplace where everyone can be their authentic selves in a safe, inclusive environment.
