TheAssociation in Slough is a long-established charity, which started out to support the large Pakistani community in Slough and evolved into supporting the widercommunity.We are seeking an organised, motivated and community-focused Centre Manager to run the PWA Community Centre, build partnerships and grow activities for local residents of all faiths and age groups. We are searching for an Urdu/Punjabi speaking Centre Manager to lead the association at a pivotal and exciting time in its 61 year history.Key Features of the role: Manage day-to-day centre operations, bookings, policies, finances and maintenanceDevelop new activities, funding streams and community groupsSecure funding and income to support delivery of useful community activities through bid writing and grant applicationsPromote PWA services, such asRecruit, support and coordinate local volunteersPromote the centre profile and build relationships with partners, businesses and residentsEnsure health and safety and provide administrative support to TrusteesAbout YouTrustworthy, ethical and committed to driving genuine benefit to the local communityExperience in community development, fundraising or centre/building managementExperienced in bid writing and submitting grant applications; with persuasive writing skillsStrong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skillsAble to work independently and manage multiple tasksGood IT skills and confident managing budgetsFlexible to work occasional evenings/weekends when requiredDesirableUrdu/Punjabi speaking language skills (Essential), social media/marketing experience, volunteer management, and a full driving licence.JBRP1_UKTJ
