This is about ownership and progression.Senior Quantity Surveyor Residential DevelopmentLocation: London (Office & Site Based)Salary: 65,000 75,000 + bonusContract: Permanent, full timeOur client is a growing London-based residential developer with a secured pipeline of over 2,000 units and ambitious plans to scale significantly over the coming years.They are now looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support and take ownership of commercial delivery and procurement across key trade packages on large-scale residential schemes.This role offers clear progression into a full Commercial Lead position, with exposure to procurement strategy, supplier sourcing and package ownership.The RoleWorking closely with technical and construction teams, you will play a key role in ensuring packages are procured effectively, costs are controlled and commercial risks are identified early.This is a hands-on role with real responsibility, not just reporting.What You'll Be DoingSupporting commercial management across key trade packagesAssisting with budgets, cost plans and CVRsMonitoring financial performance and identifying risks earlySupporting procurement across packages including groundworks, RC frame, faade, MEPAssisting with tendering, subcontractor comparisons and contractor engagementSupporting sourcing of subcontractors, suppliers and materialsBenchmarking pricing and identifying cost-saving opportunitiesAssisting with JCT contract administration including variations, valuations and final accountsWorking closely with technical and site teams to ensure commercial decisions support deliverySupporting value engineering and efficient procurement routesWhat They're Looking ForExperience within a developer or contractor as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant QSExperience working on residential schemes (50+ units)Exposure to package procurement and cost reportingInterest in procurement, supplier sourcing and commercial strategyBasic understanding of construction sequencing and package interfacesA proactive, reliable and commercially aware approachThis Role Is Not ForCandidates looking for a purely administrative or reporting roleIndividuals unwilling to take ownership or step upPassive candidates who prefer to be directed rather than driveWhy ApplyClear progression into a more senior commercial leadership roleExposure to procurement strategy, buying and supplier sourcingWork on large-scale residential developments in LondonJoin a growing business with a strong pipeline and long-term opportunityGain broader commercial experience beyond traditional QS responsibilitiesApplyIf you are a commercially minded QS looking to take the next step in your career and gain real ownership across procurement and delivery, this is an opportunity to grow quickly within a supportive but ambitious environment.Apply now with your CV.Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
