Job Description EMEA Payroll Specialist Location: Slough, England (Hybrid)Contract Duration: 12 monthsEngagement Type: Contract Inside IR35Payroll Model: Multicountry, EMEAStart: ASAP (notice periods considered)About the RoleWe are supporting a global organisation operating within the digital infrastructure and technology services sector, which is experiencing continued growth across the EMEA region. They are looking for an experienced EMEA Payroll Specialist to take ownership of endtoend payroll processing across multiple European countries.This is a handson contract role suited to a payroll professional who thrives in a complex, fastmoving, and highly regulated environment, and who is confident working with external vendors and crossfunctional teams. Key ResponsibilitiesFull ownership of endtoend payroll processing for multiple EMEA countriesLiaise closely with external payroll vendors to ensure timely and accurate payroll deliveryEnsure accurate payment of salaries, payroll taxes, and statutory benefitsManage yearend payroll activities and statutory filings across assigned countriesHandle payroll treatment of equity/stock programs (RSU, ESPP), including deductions, gains, and tax withholdingsPartner with HR Services, Finance, Stock Administration, and other internal stakeholders to collect monthly payroll inputsRespond to payroll queries from employees and internal teams via an HR Service Centre modelMaintain strong SOX and payroll compliance through defined internal controlsUnderstand payroll inputs to GL reporting and collaborate effectively with Finance teamsSupport Time & Attendance systems and ensure accurate feeds into payrollMaintain and update payroll process documentation and proceduresSupport team members as required and ensure knowledge transfer / backup coverageContribute to process improvement and payrollrelated projects as requiredRequired Skills & ExperienceProven experience managing multicountry EMEA payroll within medium to large organisationsStrong working knowledge of European payroll regulations and statutory complianceExperience managing payroll with full ownership and accountabilityExcellent Excel skills (reporting, reconciliations, analysis)Strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and tight deadlinesHighly structured, detailoriented, and customerfocused approachFluency in English (additional European languages are an advantage)Experience working in a panEuropean or EMEA shared services environmentDesirable ExperienceExperience with ADP payroll solutions (Streamline and/or Celergo advantageous)Exposure to Time & Attendance systems and integrationsPayroll experience integrated with an HR systemHandson experience with WorkdayContinuous improvement mindsetExposure to automation or AI tools within payroll operations
