Senior AuditorFull-time (37 hours) Permanent Grade C2 and salary 38,220 to 41,771 per annumNorth Kesteven District Council is seeking an experienced senior auditor professional to join the internal audit team; This post puts you at the heart of promoting and developing good governance and service improvement across all the councils interests. This is critical in supporting the delivery of the Councils corporate plans.Job Requirements:Audit qualification and or significant relevant experience in internal auditing. The ability to understand and apply the Global Internal Audit Standards in all the work you do. Undertake continuing professional development and maintain the currency of your knowledge and skills.Demonstrate high standards of behaviour, performance quality, credibility and integrity in all your work.Key Responsibilities:Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Audit, the role involves understanding and assessing the councils governance structures, risk management and control environments.The role includes supporting the head of internal audit through attendance at audit committees and management of staff.Act as an advocate for the internal audit service and profession, presents a positive image and has a positive outlook to audit work and the profession.Key Attributes:Highly analytical Sound communication skillsAbility to work to deadlines and organise own workload with minimum supervisionHighly organised, confident, ethical and conscientious personYou will be required to apply a high level of attention to detail, concentration, focus and ethics when carrying out this role, to support the delivery of the internal audit plan.
